We lost a cat and the Vet and the clinic before we started going to the Kitty clinic was very unsympathetic . I had my Annabelll 12 years and we had to make the gut wrenching decision to put her to rest. They were cold and clinical during that time. We found the Kitty clinic by chance a few years ago. Our other cat Jack lost weight and was sickly. Dr. Ruiz treated the situation with urgency. Her supporting staff helped us make arrangements to see a specialist. Jack had tests done and blood work; he was just needing a change of diet. Kitty clinic followed up with us and comforted us. Since we lost our cat Annabelll we were very sensitive. Dr Ruiz and her staff understood that and treated us with compassion. Jack is healthy ! Dr. Ruiz and her staff make a difficult time easier. They are cat people and understand pet parents. I would never let anyone else treat our cats.

Dr. Payton is a modern day James Herriot. He has both a small and large animal practice, and some days a week travels in a mobile van to treat farm animals. Several years ago, I had a very large yellow lab (over 100 lbs.) who was nearing his end. Because I am single and getting older, I could not lift my dog to get him to the veterinary office for treatment while he was sick. Dr. Payton came in his van to my house, and gave my dog an ultrasound and x-ray right on my kitchen floor. Because his end was near, and he realized my inability to move my dog myself, he gave me his home phone number to call at home should my dog go into distress in the middle of the night with me potentially not being able to find anyone to help me move him to the emergency vet. When my dog's time finally came to an end, he came to my home and peacefully euthanized him in his loving home environment instead of in a cold office setting. After my dog died, he told me of his own dog, a black lab puppy, which was a rescued 3 legged amputee. This inspired me to have the courage to adopt my own 3 legged rescued yellow lab Marley. Marley has also since passed on, but Marley's photo hangs still today in Dr. Payton's office. Without Dr. Payton, Marley might never have found a loving home.

Moving to a new town, I didn't know where to turn for veterinary care. Dr. Mann at Hamilton Animal Hospital was one of the first to show up on the list, and, boy, am I happy he did. His office is small and doesn't have all the frills of some other vet offices, but one thing they aren't missing out on is heart. Dr. Mann's love for animals of all shapes and sizes is evident in all of his interactions. From my hound dog baying in his office to my kitten coming in for her first vaccines, his patience is unrivaled. He has this essence to him that just seems to put my animals (and myself) at ease. He will give it to you straight and will listen as you voice all of your concerns about your pet. He is not one of those vets that will push you to get an unnecessary test just for the paychecksomething that seems rare in this day and age. While I haven't had anything tragic happen to my animals, I can take solace that if something were to happen, I could always trust the judgement of Dr. Mann and his staff.

Topper fell from a groomer's table and sustained a compacted vertabrae he did not use his rear legs for almost three weeks. My wife and I did not what we should do with him. My wife's brother suggested trying a chiropatric vet. We had never heard of one so my wife got on the computer to look for one. She found Dr. Payton about 15 miles away. When we took Topper for his first appointment, Dr. Payton said that he would not adjust Topper's spine because he could possibly do more harm than good so he recommended an accupuncher treatment. The very next day Topper started using his rear legs although keeping them stiff legged. Topper now is running, stiffed legged, and is probably about the best he'll get. The injury happened inapril 2013 and Topper now goes in every 10-12 weeks for adjustments and an accupuncher treatment. Topper shakes with fear when he goes but as soon as Dr. Payton comes into the room he stops shaking. We believe it is because Topper remembers that Dr. Payton is the who helped him to use his rear legs again.
